Just a month ago, the incredible augmented reality exhibit was installed under the south side of the Cambie Street Bridge. If you haven’t yet, you have to check out this unique public art installation by the incredibly talented Columbian artist, Jessica Angel.
The installation, titled Voxel Bridge is a blend of both lived art in the public space, with a digital experience. Utilizing the cutting-edge blockchain technology and augmented reality, Jessica Angel’s creation is a new take on the interconnectedness of physical and digital art in today’s age.
Covering 19,000 square feet under the bridge, the artwork itself extends far beyond what meets the eye! According to Vancouver Biennale, it’s the biggest blockchain-based augmented reality experience of its kind! Simply download the Vancouver Biennale app to see the complexity behind.
You’ll find 20 interactive digital animations that accompany the adhesive vinyl the mural is made of. It’s super fun and engaging to check out!
