Calm your mind and experience classical music in a new light with these sensational concerts in some of Vancouver’s most magical locations. The concert series known simply as “Candlelight” invites everyone to relive the greatest works of classical music, from Frank Sinatra to Michael Bublé to Taylor Swift, in an intimate atmosphere. And after having enormous success around the world—in cities like Paris, Barcelona, and even right here in Vancouver—the experience has made its way back to the city.
The concerts will feature dazzling, thematic musical performances all played by the most talented classical musicians. With countless flickering candles illuminating each unique space, the Vancouver Candlelight concerts will present a collection of classical music over the course of 65 mesmerizing minutes.
Note: For the safety of our audience, all of the candlelight will be provided through flameless candles.
This season will see an incredible showcase of music across genres and themes, from a rendition of legendary film scores to a classical adaptation of your favorite Beyoncé, Queen, and ABBA hits. Anime lovers will even get to enjoy The Best of Anime and Joe Hisaishi, featuring the iconic melodies of beloved movies and shows like Naruto, Dragon Ball, My Neighbour Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service among others.
Some will be played at the iconic Kerrisdale Presbytarian Church, The Beaumont Studios, Holy Trinity Cathedral in Surrey, and Christ Church Cathedral. These historical venues will also host a string rendition of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, celebrating musical notes from Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
And right on time for spooky season, a haunted evening of Halloween classics and a Candlelight Halloween jazz concert will grace the stage of Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church. Discover chilling melodies from legends like Sinatra, Armstrong, and Fitzgerald on strings — surrounded by the haunting glow of flickering candles.

The Candlelight series takes place twice each evening with two back to back 60-65 minute performances. Doors open at least 45 minutes prior to each show.
