Save the date! BC Parks´ completely revamped Discover Camping is reopening up for camping reservations on March 21st!
You´ve got just over a month left to plan out your dates to reserve some of the province´s most popular camping spots. After receiving a lot of (negative) feedback about the old booking website, BC Parks has launched an improved site that will hopefully not crash as soon as bookings open. Retiring the old Discover Camping website and moving all camping reservations to within the BC Parks website will make booking your bucket list trips this summer much easier.
Starting March 15th, you can browse the available sites and decide with your friends where and when you want to go this summer. Then – be ready, because on March 21st at 7am PST, you´ve got to secure your dates. From then on, all front country campsites and necessary backcountry permits will be open. Front-country campsite bookings are available on a two-month booking window, meaning that if your desired dates are after May 21st – you´ve got to set a reminder for booking exactly two-months before that exact date.
Furthermore, reservations for group campsites will be available on March 21st (that can be reserved for the rest of the year) and for the Bowron Lake Canoe Circuit in the beginning of April.
Although you can certainly camp in all seasons in this beautiful province we call home, the summer truly is a the best time to explore. Furthermore, we encourage all those to educate themselves on the Leave No Trace Principles before adventuring into the outdoors.
