Vancouver’s Very Own Lazy River Is Only 40 Minutes From Downtown

Many Vancouverites can proudly say they’ve spent a hot summer’s day at the beach or a nearby lake. But how many of us have spent the afternoon floating down a lazy river?

Alouette River, in Maple Ridge, is one of the closest lazy rivers from Vancouver. Only a 40 minute drive from downtown, you and your friends will be happily floating down the river in no time. Here, the stunning Alouette river flows gently into the well-known Davidson’s pool. Just launch out of Allco Park.  This tranquil spot is a local favourite for a refreshing dip, tucked away into the forest. You’re not gonna want to miss this spot to beat the heat.

Nothing screams summer quite like a relaxed float down the river. Just don’t forget to check the temperatures, practice water safety and come prepared!

All you need to do is grab a floatie, some coolers and sit back. Don’t forget to send us your photos and videos from your visit!
