1. Enjoy stunning views of the city from a patio

2. Spend a slow summer morning at Granville Island

3. Visit North Vancouver’s Shipyards Live
Every Friday and Saturday for the rest of the month, you can check out fantastic live music and the food fest happening in North Van’s Shipyards. This awesome festival has plenty to see and do so be sure to head down sometime this month!

Finally re-opened since the first lockdown, the iconic Richmond Night Market is filled with over 500 different international food items! Celebrate their 20 year anniversary by snacking on some awesome dishes.
8. Go for a hike

9. Check out Richmond’s Drive-In movie theatre
This August, Fresh Air Cinema is relaunching their outdoor movie theatre at the Landsdowne Centre parking lot. These free showings are every Thursday at sunset until September 16th, so be sure to head there one week night!
10. Visit the stunning sunflower fields in Abbotsford
The Chilliwack Sunflower Festival returns this August with stunning pathways through 15 acres of sunflower fields. Apparently, this year they’ve planted over 40 different kinds of sunflowers in their gardens. Take a stroll and some stunning photos in these fields this month!
11. Carnaval del Sol
Vancouver’s beloved Latin festival is filled with free live concerts and other awesome activities this August. The biggest Latin American festival in the Pacific North West, from August 12 – August 19 2021, you can check out the incredible music, dance performances and food all over the city.
